Inga Zougman

Certified Ayurvedic Lifestyle  Consultant

My name is Inga Zougman.  I am a strong believer into the inner strength of the Human Being yet to be discovered by everyone of us.

I turned to Ayurveda as a science of life and healing, possibly the oldest medical teachings of The Humanity.  It became my own way to the recovery about 20 years ago, when I suffered a multitude of problems completely mystifying allopathic doctors.  It ranged from skin rushes to insomnia and digestive disorders.  I had to literally take the matter in my own hands to survive.

Since then all had changed.  Knowledge of signs and signals of the body is a valuable tool to demystifying the origins of illness.  Ayurveda became my "see through the surface" instrument invariably pointing at the need to improve the current practices.

Often it's the lifestyle in its entirety that needs tuning to make the body sound clear and clean.  You will discover additional resources in yourself you did not suspect existing!

How the Ayurvedic lifestyle consultation is conducted?

The assessment of the general health status is the first step to the selection of appropriate methods to resolve a disbalance in Ayurveda.  During consultation a variety of questions is discussed about daily routines, nutritional habits, energy level, emotional wellbeing, physical aspects.  The visual observations of the skin tone, eyes, tongue, general physical form are made, and the pulse is taken to help in the evaluation of the problem.

Based on the assessment results the appropriate strategy is developed for resolving the disbalance.  It can include suggestions for the lifestyle practices, nutritional changes, supplementation with herbs, cleansing methods.

As each aspect of life - physical, emotional and mental - is important for the wellbeing, all of them are addressed in the Ayurvedic consultation and contribute to the creation of the unique approach to each individual case.

Daily Routine recommendations might include advising on some particular waking hours, meal and exercise times, cleansing practices (bathing, nasya, oil pulling, etc.), skin oil applications, meditation and awareness training, hydration regime.

The appropriate diet can be constitution derived or based on the knowledge of the health issue being addressed at the moment.  For the latter case it is used for the duration of the problem. After that the more long-term constitutionally supportive regime is suggested.

Ayurvedic herbs can be included at any stage: to support the daily health routines, to increase the adaptation to the new environment, to accompany the stages of the cleansing program and rejuvenation afterwards, to help with the current health issues.

Cleansing routines are devised according to the need for re-balancing and the comfort level of the person.  They can be very simple for a very busy schedule or more involving with a certain level of commitment and discipline required.  In either case, the focus is set on the increasing sense of wellbeing and inner calm, which indicate the positive changes in the body physiology.
